The Challenge

AQMetrics, a leading provider of regulatory and compliance technology solutions, recognised the need to refine its brand identity and digital presence to stay ahead in a competitive market. As the company evolved, it became crucial to differentiate itself from competitors and resonate more deeply with its target audience. The existing brand elements and website were no longer fully aligned with the company’s vision and market positioning, necessitating a comprehensive brand overhaul and website redesign.

The Solution

The Smart Group embarked on a strategic journey with AQMetrics, beginning with an in-depth competitor analysis to understand the market landscape and identify opportunities for differentiation. Using a SWOT analysis, we formulated a robust differentiation strategy that would set AQMetrics apart in the industry.


To ensure the new brand identity was authentic and resonant, we conducted extensive surveys with management, employees, and customers. These insights helped us establish a clear brand archetype and define customer personas that would guide the brand’s voice and visual identity.


Brand Identity Refresh
We refreshed the AQMetrics logo, fine-tuning the symbol and subtly modifying the wordmark to incorporate chevron elements, creating a harmonious visual coherence. A new dominant color was introduced to make the logo more prominent, complemented by a redefined color palette that included more striking primary colors and a supporting secondary palette.


In tandem, we articulated AQMetrics’ brand vision, mission, and values, and defined the tone of voice and personality to ensure consistency across all communications.

Website Redesign


Building on the strategic insights and refreshed brand identity, The Smart Group redesigned the AQMetrics website to reflect the company’s evolved positioning. The new website incorporated all findings from our strategy work, with copy adjusted throughout to align with the newly defined tone of voice.

We introduced dynamic new visual elements, including a technological wave graphic that added a modern, innovative feel to the brand. The website was structured to clearly highlight the various client types, making it easier for users to identify services relevant to their profession.

We also revamped the case studies section, renaming it to “Client Success Stories” and expanding the format to include background information, challenges, solutions, and results for each client. This approach was based on research indicating it as a highly effective format for engaging potential customers. Strong calls-to-action (CTAs) were strategically placed on each page to encourage conversions, such as booking a demo.

SEO Optimisation

To maximise the website’s visibility, we conducted a thorough SEO audit. This audit led to several optimisations, including refining headings, meta titles, and descriptions, and minifying JavaScript and CSS files to improve site speed and performance.

The Results

The strategic brand refresh and website redesign provided AQMetrics with a cohesive and impactful digital presence that clearly communicated its market leadership and resonated with its target audience.
