The Challenge
NorDan Ireland is a leading provider of high-quality windows and doors, renowned for their durability, energy efficiency, and sleek design. As part of the NorDan Group, which operates across Europe, each country has its own dedicated website. These sites all adhere to a unified design and messaging strategy that reflects the brand’s core values and standards. However, the Irish website had not yet been updated to match this cohesive digital presence, highlighting the need for a redesign to bring it in line with the NorDan group’s overall branding and user experience.
The Solution
To bring the Irish website in line with other countries, we began with a thorough analysis of the existing NorDan group sites, identifying key design elements, UX features, and messaging strategies. This analysis provided a blueprint for the Irish site, ensuring it would integrate seamlessly with the other websites.
We then collaborated closely with NorDan Ireland, gathering insights into their specific needs and goals. This collaboration included regular meetings and feedback sessions to ensure an aligned approach.
Our design team focused on creating a modern, clean aesthetic that mirrored the European sites while also incorporating elements unique to the Irish market. We paid special attention to the UI and UX, ensuring the site was intuitive and engaging for visitors.
Content was another critical component of our approach. We worked on crafting clear, consistent messaging that highlighted NorDan Ireland’s strengths and aligned with the group’s overarching brand narrative. This involved updating product descriptions, enhancing visual content, and ensuring that all information was both accessible and informative.
Taking inspiration from competitors in the Irish market, The Smart Group added some new key pages and features to the website to drive conversions. Call-To-Action blocks were placed at the end of each page to encourage users to get in touch. A showroom page was also set up for each location in Ireland, that provides more information about the location, opening hours and team located there. Users can directly book a showroom appointment and this is a new feature for the Nordan Group.
An innovative approach was taken for a brand new ‘Inspiration Board’. This part of the website echoes Pinterest, where a user can browse photographs of previously completed projects and different products, and save images that tie in with their wants and needs. A great feature of this section is that a user’s inspiration board can be shared directly with a Nordan Sales Rep. This gives the Nordan employee valuable information about the route this client wishes to take for their project.
The Results
By aligning with the NorDan Group’s standards, the updated website strengthened NorDan Ireland’s brand identity and enhanced its online visibility. The project demonstrated the importance of a unified digital strategy in maintaining brand consistency and effectively communicating a company’s values and offerings across different markets.
The conversion rates for forms on the website are all above industry average with the ‘Inspiration Board’ having a sign up rate of 9.3%, and the ‘Get in Touch form conversion being 5.2%.
