The reinvention of ordering company-branded swag

Swag Hut

Background

Swag Hut was born from the passion of making ordering swag easy. In a world with no Swag Hut, time is wasted chasing designers, printers, and shipping companies to deliver disposable experiences. Swag Hut wanted a platform to make sourcing, storing, and shipping company-branded swag packs easy.

The Brief

When we were approached to build this brand from the ground up, this was an incredibly exciting opportunity for our team. The brief was to create a brand identity for Swag Hut along with a website, explainer video, and packaging. Having worked through several brand workshops, it was clear that getting the message/tone right for the target audience was crucial. Swag Hut’s target demographic is young professionals between 20-30 who mainly work in multi-national companies.

The Approach

We developed all elements of the brand from scratch – from visual identity and packaging to the design and development of the website.

Firstly, we designed a logo that is strong, simple, and versatile. The letter ‘A’ was turned into a hut symbol while still maintaining its legibility. It was crucia that the logo worked across print, digital and swag. We also created several badges derived from the primary logo. These badges provide variety on what visual is applied to swag on the website. The Swag Hut primary logo and badges were applied to 200+ products to show the user how their company logo may look on the item they purchase.

The colour palette chosen for the brand is bold and loud. By having a large colour palette to work with, this allowed us to introduce interesting patterns to the brand’s visual identity. Aiming at Millennials, we explored a lot of patterns from the 1990’s and landed on a more modern look using abstract shapes for the background on the website.

Swag Hut is shaping the future of the industry by owning a game-changing platform that servers up only the best swag. Our team of UX/UI designers created a user-friendly dashboard that acts as the key to simplicity in ordering swag. Here, users can view proofs, orders, shipment and inventory.
